• He spearheaded the formation and was Past President of the UST Medical Alumni Association in America (USTMAAA) and its Foundation, currently the most organized and largest association of Fil-Ams in the United States
• Recipient of the Presidential Award for Filipinos Overseas, the Banaag Award, from President Fidel V. Ramos in 1993 in recognition of his active participation in pursuing the Philippine government’s development and relief programs as well as his numerous contributions to the province of Pampanga
